These stories are probably not as interesting as most, but they are something that sticks in the memory.
Went TAD (1962 or so) to Camp Hanson for 3 wks from Coronado. After a few a the club, latch on to someone and went out the gate, but not to Kim Village. Area had a few bars and shops next to each other. After entering the bar, notice a giant of a man laying across some stools. Bar folks wanted him gone, so we shook him and got him up. Belonged to the 3rd tanks and was big enough to push one, I think. Talked him in to going back to Hanson with us. As we got out the door, two members of RAFP came walking up. It was at this time the tanker decided to relieve himself on the door of the on of the shops. This immediately drew the attention of the army MP and the Navy SP. Figured we were off to the brig, but one of the RAFP gave the tanker a lecture. We explained we were trying to get him back to base, so they let us go. I think they did not want to deal with this guy, if he became belligerent.
