Semper Fi Marines!

Just thought I would take a few minutes to introduce myself.

I currently reside in Richmond, Kentucky but I am dreaming of a place in Hawaii.

I am the "shortest Marine" at 4'10" and was on active duty in the Marines from 9 Mar 1977 to 12 Feb 1981 and assigned to the following locations:

Plt. 3035, Lima Company
3rd R.T.R.
R.T. Regiment
MCRD San Diego, CA

F.R.O.C. 39
MCB 29 Palms, CA

Radio Plt., Comm. Co,
H&S Bn., 3rd F.S.S.G.
MCB Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan

Marine Detachment, Naval Base
Charleston, SC

Comm. Plt., H&S Co. (also in Alpha Co.)
1st TracVeh. Bn
Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan

Then I joined the Air Force from 12 February 1982 to 1 May 1994.

3394 STUSQ (Student Squadron)
Keesler AFB, MS.

712 ASOC (Air Support Operations Center)
Bergstrom AFB, TX.

Operating Location Bravo, 2137/2063 Comm. Sq.
Kleine Brogel AB, Belgium

VIP/Presidential Radio Station
2045 Comm. Gp.
Andrews AFB, DC.

Det. 13, ESAA (European Special Activities Area)
AFIA (Air Force Intelligence Agency)
Pirmasens, Germany

2750 Air Base Group
Base Chapel
Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

7275/775 Air Base Group
NCOIC, Base Chapel
San Vito Air Base, Italy

I was really interested in joining the Air Force after graduation from high school, but, the powers that be didn't approve my entry because of my height (4'10"). Instead of being an Airman from the start, the Marine Corps was my stepping stone into the military. You ask, "Why the transfer?" Quite simple really, the Air Force saw my prior service record as exemplary in the Corps
and decided to finally allow me to achieve my career goal and enlisted me. Following a 17 year career and being "forced into early retirement," I wish I could still be on active duty. I miss the travel, my friends, and the only job I can ever say I truly loved; being a Chaplain's Assistant was an excellent choice for an AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code) and I wish I could have been one sooner, but I guess God and the Department of Defense had
other plans for me.

I am also 100% service-connected due to unemployability and Operations Desert Shield/Storm/Calm.

I am also online with many other Marine websites.
