Brand new and just testing the posting. Lot's of options that I have no clue about. Old Marine using the time honorered "Trail and Error" system......

You can always practise by opening up a reply post (the button to click is in the lower right-hand corner) or by starting a new thread. Once the reply or post screen is opened up, you can practise using the buttons above the typing area. When you want to check your handiwork, you just click the Preview Reply button that is underneath the typing section to the right-hand side. This will bring up what you've typed so you can look at it before it is officially "posted" to the website. If you don't like what you see, you can just return to the typing area and practise some more or go back up to the top of the screen under "yellowfootprints" and click the Forums button. That will cancel your practise session and take you back to the main Forums page.

If you hold your mouse arrow key over the smiley faces, it will tell you what the smiley face means. Then you just click the one you want to use and it will insert into the typed text in code. :)
