Looking for Sgt. Michael Milligan...
Seps in late 1973
Avionics type, MOS 6242
Last know assigments included:
HMT-301 1971-72, CH-53
HML-367 Okinawa in 1972-73, Huey 7 Cobras
MCAS Tustin 1973, CH-53
I believe he was from Michigan....
He posted a message a few years back on the Scarface website.
I have reason to believe that he re-enlisted and was working out of the San Diego area with HMLA-369 until around 1978.
Thanks for any help...

Just a heads up Marine,
If someone does a search for your platoon number our search engine goes threw the forum posts and when it finds a thread like yours, it will list on the screen of the person doing the search.
Likewise, if we create a platoon section (even if we don't have graduation book information entered) and someone uses the search feature of the boot camp database, your platoon section will pop up.
It would be a good idea to have use create your platoon section and also a personal section where we can list your email address. We do need your permission to add your email address though.

of this thread.
Stand by for a major announcement in regards to changes to the boot camp database. Not to worry, this is good news.

I received a call from a John Milligan... He said that Mike was his cousin and he had passed away about around 2000 and that he was buried in Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA.
I contacted the Cemetery and they said that there was a Michael Milligan that was buried there with a date of 9/23/1998 but didn't have any further information... Then I went online to search the SSDI and it didn't reflect any Milligan deceased in PA in 1989...
John told me that he was married but his wife had also passed away... He did say that his mother Dorothy Milligan is still alive and lives in Philadelphia on Columbia Ave... I found her on Zabasearch with a phone number... But no one answers and no answering machine was available...
Anyway maybe I am getting closer...
Thanks for your help..

Let's give it a shot... Here are two SSN's
Michael A Milligan 9/8/50 11/3/2003
Michael R. Milligan 9/1/51 11/19/05
These two are close to the age of the one I am looking for...
Is there a way of telling if they had any Military involvement?
Thanks for your help...

I have removed the SSN of the Marine you are looking for in this thread, it is not good practice to allow that information be posted on ANY web site.
If SSgt Nancy Luke is helping you with your search, I would advise you to send that information directly to her.
Thanks for your understanding Marine.

My sources show no Marines with those names died on the dates you listed.
Will keep searching.

I have found Sgt. Mike Milligan....
Details... I was on the Pop-A-Smoke website checking out the membership list... No Mike Milligan...
I was just about to close it down when I noticed that there was a search function of the website... So I did a search and Lo and Behold, there was his name with the years affiliated HML 367...
Turns out that even though he wasn't a member, he was on their email list... I did a reverse of the email which provided me with a phone number to an address that I had already seen!...
Called him and had a jovial conversation...
Thanks for everyone's help.... You've kept me motivated and inspired by your spirit, enthusiasm, and knowledge of finding the lost....

deserves all the credit in helping you Chuck. When she gets on a mission, best stand the F by..ha
Althoug she may not have found the Marine you were looking for, she did get you motivated as you said. I've said it so many times, this site is so much about those that do so much in the background.
Thanks Nancy for all your help with Chuck.
