Yea, Kinda a Nam Vet, Lets just say been to Hawaii 3 times, and never got out of the airport.

Tobasco....Hell, carry it all the time.....got plenty if you need some, made the ham and eggs and beans and MF taste like something.....got some pound cake hidden for special ocassions...LOL

Now, they way I look at it, if he was a real MSgt, he would not tell any enlisted to shut up....a bitchin Marine is a good Marine... take care of them.....Mail, feed em and get them paid.....and get them, (Ok I will be nice) and the troops will take care of you....

Hey Sparkie, I was one of the banned ones to on that site. That guy is wierd! I simply noticed on his profile that his avatar was GUNNY and he said he was a SGT Major. he had 16 years in the Coprs and 7 in the ARNG, where he made E-9?? He never posted his name, so I couldn't check him out, his username was for a car brand that a young person would use.....The only thing I can figure is we all must have posted on the site set aside for Drill Instructors,,,,,I don't know but he kept posting 8511 and ??????? getting bigger and bolder with each post, then BAM, I am banned for three days!

In my opinion, if we should not have posted there, the moderators should have deleted our post and stopped it, but then that's my opinion. I know I have been deleted there before for that, I just forgot that it is for DIs only! But without him posting his name, I couldn't verify his status for being a DI.....wonder how they know if he was a DI or not?

Oh well that's democracy in action! That's what we fought for, isn't it? So they can censure us and our honest opinions. You tell me!

One thing that has impressed me is that this site seems to pick up many present day Marines. One thing we try to do is make the site comfortable for Marines from past, present and future eras.

As far as Marines that leave active duty and join the National Guard go, that is fairly common. Many National Guard units are OWNED by Marines. We've got a member in our MCL detachment that just got back from a year+ deployment to Iraq in the Army National Guard. I'm sure he got a lot of ribbing about the mail he got while he was there that was marked "Marine Mail".

Thanks to Hollis, I am registered here! I was also banned for my language and challenging the idiot poser. He had quite a few discrepancies in his profile. Yellowwing did pm me prior to my banning, it seems that this guy was familiar and may have been previously banned.
