Charles "Chuck" McBride, 92, Mt. Charleston, NV.

Charles "Chuck" McBride, 92 =, a resident of Mt. Charleston, passed away May 30, 2018, in Grand Junction, Colorado, while on a trip ti visit family. He was born on March 2, 1926. Chuck is survived by his son, Michael Chuck McBride was part of "The Greatest Generation" having served in the U.S. Navy in World War II in the Pacific Theater in the Medical Corps. He was wounded and received a Purple Heart. Chuck was recalled to active duty serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War, where he was wounded again. After returning from the Korean War, Chuck married his lifelong love, Mary, in 1953. Mary passed away about six years ago and Chuck remained devoted to her memory. Chuck became a Motor Cycle Policeman in Los Angeles for several years and retired on a medical disability, after which he owned his own business. Chuck and Mary bought a home on Mt. Charleston in 1979 and moved there permanently in 1983. Those who knew Chuck well would know he lived his life "as he intended" regardless of consequences. Chuck's was a strong willed person who will be missed and long remembered by those who knew him. Celebration of Charles McBride's life will be at 11 a.m.. Saturday, July 14, at the Mt.
